Golf is one of the reasons for joining Philmont Country Club. We offer an unprecedented setting for a round of golf for members or a tournament for your business, charity or organization. With six day a week operations, there is always availability for your golfing desires.

Our world class Championship golf facilities are designed by world-renowned golf course architects William S. Flynn and Willie Park. The North Course has hosted many prestigious events including the Nike Tour (now the Nationwide Tour)in the mid-90s and local qualifiers for the US Open and US Amateur. It is a true classic with tree lined fairways and firm, fast greens. The South Course is shorter, but none the less challenging with even smaller greens with severe undulations. It is a great course for newer golfers and juniors.

Philmont offers the option of full caddie or cart services for your enjoyment of the game.Carrying your own clubs is permitted on the South Course at any time and after 2 PM on the North Course.

If your game needs some improvement, Philmont offers fantastic practice facilities, including two putting greens, an oversized chipping green and a long and wide driving range.

If practicing on your own is not enough, a private lesson from Mickey Sokalski, our head pro, or one of his staff may help put your golf game back on the path to success. They also run numerous clinics throughout the season.

Philmont’s fully stocked Pro Shop features a wealth of signature gear and sportswear for the golfing enthusiast.

Tournament programs are offered for all from April through October. They include breakfast tournaments, team matches, member-guests, league play, mixed events and many more using a variety of formats. The golf staff prides itself on having a strong tournament program that is competitive, yet fun, to develop camaraderie among the participants.
